Pricing

Three steps. Three numbers. No retainers.

A free 60 second check, a $500 fixed price audit and $100 per hour fixes you approve in advance. That is the entire pricing model. The rest of this page is detail.

What does the free check cost?

Nothing. The free visibility check takes 60 seconds, requires no signup and triggers no sales call. You get a summary of what Google, Google Maps and AI assistants say about your business, delivered to your email.

It exists so you can see the problem, or confirm you do not have one, before spending a dollar. Run it here.

How much does the visibility audit cost?

The Octopolis visibility audit costs $500, fixed. It covers every surface a customer can ask, documents where you appear and where you are missing, prices the gap and ends in a prioritized fix list in plain English plus a walkthrough call, delivered in five business days.

The report is yours to keep no matter who does the fixing. Take it to us, to another agency or to your nephew. Nothing in it is written to lock you in. What the audit actually inspects, surface by surface, is covered in what is an AI visibility audit.

What do the fixes cost?

Implementation is $100 per hour, billed only for hours you approve in advance. Most Kansas City businesses need 10 to 20 hours to work through their audit list, which puts a typical complete engagement between $1,500 and $2,500 total.

Then it ends. No maintenance plan you did not ask for, no “ongoing optimization” line item. When something new breaks or the AI landscape shifts again, you decide if more hours are worth it.

How does this compare to typical SEO pricing?

Most SEO is sold as a monthly retainer. In Ahrefs' survey of 439 SEO providers, 78.2% charge monthly retainers, the most common band is $501 to $1,000 per month and agencies average $3,209 per month. A year at those rates costs $6,000 to $38,000 whether or not the work moved anything.

Our whole model, audit plus a full round of fixes, usually costs less than two months of an average agency retainer. That is not because the work is worse. It is because you are buying work instead of a subscription. For the full market picture, pricing models and the questions to ask before signing anything, read how much SEO costs in 2026. Why publish prices at all?

Almost no agency publishes numbers, because opaque pricing lets the quote match the budget. We publish ours because the model only works if you can check it: fixed audit, hourly fixes, no retainer. If a competitor beats it, you should be able to see that too.

It also keeps our incentives pointed the right way. A retainer pays an agency to stay needed. A fix list pays us to finish.

Fair questions.

How much does an SEO audit cost in Kansas City?

Most agencies answer that with a discovery call. We answer it with a number: $500, fixed, delivered in five business days with a walkthrough call. No retainer before, during or after.

What does a typical full engagement cost?

The audit is $500. Most Kansas City businesses then need 10 to 20 hours of fixes at $100 per hour, so a typical start-to-finish engagement lands between $1,500 and $2,500, once. After that you pay nothing until you want more work done.

Do I have to hire you for the fixes?

No. The audit report is written so you can work the list yourself or hand it to any competent developer or marketer. About the only wrong move is paying someone monthly to sit on it.

Are there any recurring fees at all?

None. No retainers, no subscriptions, no auto-renewals. If you want a fresh audit next year to measure progress, that is a new $500 decision you get to make then.
